Dedicated to Helping People
Jim helps his clients navigate through the pain of their injuries and the stress of litigation by approaching each case with empathy and compassion.
Jim began his legal career at The Veen Firm, one of the most respected plaintiffs’ law firms in San Francisco and all of California. Jim immediately began handling all aspects of litigation. Returning home to San Diego in 2000, he joined the preeminent law firm of Schoville & Arnell, LLP. There, he honed his advocacy skills for complex injury cases, including premises liability, employment, government liability, wrongful death, and product liability cases. One of the most successful cases he worked on at that firm was an automobile product liability case that resulted in a record $369,000,000 jury verdict.
In 2008, Jim joined the Gomez Law Firm, where he obtained several jury verdicts for his clients in excess of $1 million and each in a unique area of the law, including the first application of the state’s elder abuse laws to an arm’s-length real estate transaction and a number of different personal injury accidents. Due to his repeated success on behalf of his clients, the firm was renamed to Gomez Iagmin Trial Attorneys in 2013.
A year later, Jim wanted to create a law firm that focused on a personalized, one-on-one, compassionate approach to its clients and their needs as a San Diego personal injury attorney. So, he partnered with his friend and colleague Jon Williams to form Williams Iagmin, LLP. Since 2014, Jim has helped his clients get the compensation they deserve for their injuries through zealous advocacy with the insurance companies and the courts, all while continuing to give each case the personalized attention upon which his firm is founded.
Jim obtained his Bachelor’s degree at Loyola Marymount University, where he earned Dean’s List honors, and his Juris Doctorate at the University of San Francisco.
